Structural Shoring
A temporary system of support called shoring is used to stabilize buildings and other structures while they are being built, repaired, or demolished. Shoring prevents collapse, which safeguards both the public and the workers.
Shoring is used in many situations including:
- Address the roof or supporting walls after they have been damaged or partially removed
- Stabilize buildings during a tornado, storms, explosions, or snow collapses
- Repair of structural deficiencies during construction
- Repair buildings where expansive soils have caused damage
- Planned construction changes to the building structure
