Aggregate Columns
Aggregate Columns is a ground-improvement technique that uses a series of stone-compacted columns to reinforce the soil.
Stone columns can be used, like most ground improvement methods, to reduce settlements and increase the load-bearing capability. The drainage capability of the granular materials within the columns also helps to accelerate soil consolidation. By increasing the shear strength of soil, stone columns can be particularly effective at improving slope stability and preventing erosion.
Deep Foundation Group offers design, specification, testing, value engineering, and evaluation processes for stone column ground improvement solutions.
